WATCH the REPLAY: Increasing the circularity of fashion – WCEF 2022

What circular approaches can contribute to reducing the footprint of the textile and garment industry? while people bought 60% more garments in 2014 than in 2000, they only kept the clothes for half as long. Only 1% of material used to produce clothing is recycled into new clothing (globally). Reason enough for representatives from the European Commission, Circle Economy, research, and the textile industry to discuss the required technical, social, and business innovation, supported by policy, education and changes in production and consumption practices in the textile industry at the WCEF Acclerator Session.
