The WeMed Award is a Flagship Initiative of the Mediterranean strategy for Sustainable Development (MSSD) and will support efforts for initiating the needed transformational and green recovery in order to ensure that post COVID-19 recovery is fully supporting sustainable businesses contributing to build back better and creating green jobs.
The first edition of the WeMed Award aims to recognise the efforts of sustainable businesses and public authorities supporting them, who are promoting an inclusive transition to sustainability in Southern Mediterranean countries.
The prizes consist of:
- 15,000€ + coaching services for Growth Stage Businesses
- 10,000€ + coaching services for Early Stage Businesses
- An honorary award + a stipend for up to 3 government representatives to participate in a twinning event for Public Authorities
We also highly encourage you to sign up to get our updates in order to get notified on the exact day of the award launch, since the call will be open for only 30 days from the publication date in the Official Journal of the Generalitat of Catalonia. For this very reason, we encourage anyone interested in this award to start preparing their application now.
