Many partner countries from Asia, Africa and Latin America are expected to join the new Global Alliance on Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency (GACERE) proposed by the EU.
The Global Alliance on Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency (GACERE) is being established by the European Commission and by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), in coordination with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). It responds to ambitions set by the EU in its 2020 Circular Economy Action Plan and will advocate for a global just transition to a resource efficient and circular economy, notably through dialogue and knowledge development.
Organised in the context of the 5th UN Environment Assembly on Monday, 22 February2021, 14:00-15:00 UTC+3, this high-level event will bring the perspective of mlany partner countries willing to contribute to a global just transition to circular and resource efficient economies.
